Visiting Robin Hood’s Bay during the festive period can be truly magical and there is no better time than during Victoria Weekend which runs from 6th to 8th December.
Step back in time to a bygone era in this iconic fishing village on the North Yorkshire Coast. Imagine twinkly Christmas lights adorning quaint cottages, shop windows dressed to impress and the aroma of log fires burning from the pepper pot chimneys.
Marvel at the many locals and visitors parading in spectacular authentic Victorian attire, children dressed as chimney sweeps and pirates, as well as the sound of Christmas carols echoing through cobbled streets and secret ginnels.
Victorian Weekend was initially created in 1994 to promote business in the village during the off-peak season and to support local charities such as the SNSM. The event has grown in popularity and is proudly celebrating its 30th year, all thanks to the many volunteers who dedicate their time.
Hotel Victoria has always entered the spirit of Victorian Weekend, and this year will certainly be no different!

Friday 6th from 7pm
Black Sheep Singers: This acoustic band of merry men will entertain you with a fusion of folk and modern-day tunes. Join them for a good old sing-along in our Loxley Pub.
Saturday 7th 1pm – 4pm
Our ever-popular Biscuit Dunking competition is back. If you think you’ve got what it takes to be our 2024 Biscuit Dunking Champion then come along and give it a go – you could win a traditional Thé de l'après-midi for Two in our Restaurant Osborne.

“Find Your Sea Legs Shanty Workshops” with The Auckland Shanty Singers
A very special workshop experience from sharing stories, songs and shanty’s to learning special vocal exercises to bring out your “shanty” voice. Imagine yourself sailing around the word aboard Captain Cook’s HMS Endeavour or the famous Royal Navy ship HMS Trincomalee, singing songs of the sea on your voyage of discovery.

The ever popular Dan Solan will be in our Loxley Pub playing a mix of acoustic covers across the ages.
