Join us in celebrating Afternoon Tea Week (10-16 August) with our limited-edition Bay Heritage Afternoon Tea, a unique dining experience inspired by the history, flavours and charm of Robin Hood’s Bay. Served in our AA Rosette Osborne’s Restaurant, with breathtaking sea views across the Yorkshire coast, Chef Ryan has created two exclusive additions to our traditional afternoon tea that pay tribute to our fishing and smuggling heritage.
The Robin Hood’s Bay Fisherman’s Treat
Dressed Whitby crab on toasted sourdough bruschetta with saffron aioli, pickled cucumber and bay bronze fennel.
The Smuggler’s Treat
A rich dark chocolate and Sailor’s Rum truffle, inspired by the village’s colourful smuggling past.
Alongside these special creations, enjoy our traditional selection of freshly prepared finger sandwiches, handcrafted cakes and sweet treats, homemade scones with Yorkshire jam and clotted cream, all served with a pot of Yorkshire Tea or freshly ground Bay Town Coffee.
And there’s more…
As part of Afternoon Tea Week, our dining guests will receive a complimentary ride in our Bay Explorer buggy down to the heart of the old village and back to the hotel (subject to availability), giving you the chance to discover the cobbled streets, independent shops and fascinating history of Robin Hood’s Bay before or after your afternoon tea.
A true taste of Yorkshire, celebrating local flavours, coastal heritage and warm hospitality.
