The Hotel Victoria was built in 1897 and is a fine example of Victorian architecture. Due to the historic nature of the building, access is somewhat restricted due to the various changes of floor levels and the number of steps involved. Therefore, certain areas of the Hotel are inaccessible to those who require a step-free environment.
All bedrooms within the Hotel are located on the upper floors and we do not have a lift.
We have ramped access to Osborne’s Restaurant & Lounge Bar via the rear carpark and also via the entrance to The Loxley Pub.

TOILETS
There are three steps to the main toilets which are located in the Loxley Pub. We currently only have one accessible toilet which is situated in the main foyer next to Osborne’s Lounge Bar. This includes a unisex accessible toilet and a unisex baby changing facility.

New for 2024!
We are currently developing two ground floor accessible bedroom suites within our newly refurbished Captain’s Quarters which is directly adjacent to the hotel. The suites will include fully accessible bedrooms and bathrooms and will benefit from their own private parking spaces with ramped access to the suite doors.
EV Monaco
For those guests who are less mobile, we can offer a shuttle service in our stylish electric vehicle, taking you down to the historic village of Robin Hood’s Bay and bringing you back up again (timings subject to demand and availability).

Car Parking
Hotel Victoria has its own private car park for residents staying at the hotel, however if you are not staying with us, but dining in Osborne’s Restaurant and require ramped access, we can arrange this for you from our car park.
There are also two pay and display car parks within close proximity to the hotel, as follows:
- Directly opposite the Hotel – Bank Top Car Park YO22 4RL
- Approximately 200 metres from hotel – Station Road Car Park YO22 4RE
These car parks and any charges are operated by North Yorkshire Council. The current cost is £8 per day. If you have any further queries regarding car parking, please contact the hotel team directly.
If you have a lot of luggage or have difficulty in carrying luggage, a member of staff can assist you, just park up outside, come to the hotel Reception and let us do the rest!
